I’ll be there for about 2.5 weeks - I’m very excited.
Has anyone else been? What were your standout moments?
My very rough plan is to spend a few days in Tokyo, go to a ryokan/onsen in Hakone, then go to Nagoya, and possibly Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix. From there it would be to Kyoto and Osaka, but I don’t think I’d have time for much else - I do like to spend a couple of days in places rather than be on the move everyday.
I figure there’s a lot of old, historical stuff I can see and great natural views (i.e. Mt. Fuji) but if anyone else has had great experiences anywhere in Japan, I would like to know since the only thing that’s set in stone is when I arrive/depart Japan.

You gotta go to Megaweb on Odaiba. The vintage museum there is wild.

I did a quick google and after a few seconds of browsing on their site I agree that I gotta go to this. Looks great!

If you bring your international drivers’ license they will let you take a rip around their (low-speed, residential-simulating) test track in one of like 60 frickin’ cars including a Toyota Century.
